Veteran Nigerian musician, Daddy Showkey, has publicly commended Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for what he described as a touching and humble gesture during a recent social gathering.
In a heartfelt post shared online, Daddy Showkey recounted how Seyi Tinubu approached him at entrepreneur Seyi Vodi’s birthday celebration, despite the crowd and heavy security presence surrounding the president’s son.
“Seyi Tinubu did something that touched me. I was standing a few metres away from him, just dancing. There were people sitting around me and many others trying to get close to him. Despite all the attention and security, Seyi spotted me and came to greet me”, Daddy Showkey said.
According to Showkey, the gesture surprised many at the event, especially young celebrities who had previously ignored him.
Showkey said, “He shouted my name, ‘Ah! Showkey Baba’, and walked over to greet me. It was only after that other young celebrities, who had seen me earlier but felt too big to greet me, began to approach me as well.”
Reflecting on the experience, the ghetto music legend emphasised the importance of humility stressing, “I will say this, there is nothing greater than humbleness.”
