Justice F.E. Messiri of the FCT High Court, Abuja, on Thursday, February 5, 2026, convicted and sentenced Robert Orya, a former Managing Director, Nigerian Import Export Bank (NEXIM), to 10 years imprisonment on each of the 49 count charges levied against him.
Orya was the Managing Director of NEXIM between the years of 2011 and 2016.
Orya was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission ( EFCC), for a fraud of about N2.4 billion.
