Oyo State Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde has eulogised the Parakoyi of Ibadanland, late Chief Bode Akindele saying, “Baba numbered his days in wisdom and left a pattern for us all”.
Makinde stated this today at the funeral service of late Akindele, held at the Methodist Cathedral, Agbeni, Ibadan.
According to him, ” I was privileged to share my thoughts about his legacy as a successful entrepreneur, industrialist and philanthropist…So, the greatest tribute we can pay him is continuing in his footsteps and making sure that his legacy does not die. We take solace in the fact that someday soon, we will all meet again never to part”.
Chief Bode Akindele died on June 29 at the age of 87.
