The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade 1, has thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Seyi Makinde, traditional rulers, organising committee, and others who graced his coronation ceremony, making it colourful and memorable.
According to a release from the palace’s Director of Media and Publicity, Bode Durojaiye, Oba Owoade stated in his letter of appreciation to those who participated in the coronation ceremony, where he restated his commitment to promoting the welfare and prosperity of his kingdom and the entire Yoruba race.
Oba Owoade expressed his deepest appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, members of the Federal Executive Council, the government and good people of Oyo State under the leadership of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for their support and goodwill; traditional rulers, dignitaries, and guests for honoring the epoch occasion with their presence.
The Paramount Ruler also appreciated the Yoruba community in the diaspora for their love and support; his subjects, esteemed guests, members of the local organizing committee, volunteers, and all those who worked tirelessly to make the ceremony a success.
Alaafin said, “your presence, support, and goodwill messages have not only touched my heart and filled me with joy, but they have also projected the richness of our cultural heritage and commitment to the legacy of our ancestors.
