Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli has raised an alarm over the changing of the voting location in VGC, Lagos.
Omoni called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to return to the polling unit where they have always been voting instead of going to the express to set up.
She said, “It is 8:30 am and we are set up as you can see, fully set up here. Everything is completely organised, but INEC has said they are not coming here to VGC. They are going to set up on the express. I don’t understand why would thousands of people in here to vote and you want us to go to the express. It has never happened before. Please, tell INEC that we are all set up. We are here. We are waiting. This is our polling unit. This is where we voted the last time. We have always voted here. Every election circle, we are here. Now they are saying that they are going to express to set up and that we should all come to express to meet them. How would thousands of people vote at Express? Does that even make any sense? We thought we are not going to have any drama this time.”
