Veteran actress, Madam Jumoke George, has cried out for help, revealing that she has been battling an unknown illness for the past six years.
The actress disclosed this during an interview on Talk to B, a show anchored by actress and YouTuber, Biola Adebayo. She recounted how she was thrown out of her home due to her inability to pay the accommodation fees.
According to her, “When I couldn’t afford the accommodation fee, I had to share all my belongings with people who could help me keep them. After that, I had to move to my church, the Upper Room Cathedral of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), where I am currently living. I am living in the church.”
While fighting back tears, she made a heartfelt plea: “I am begging everybody to come out and help me. I don’t want to die in this situation. I can’t cope again. I am not healthy and I don’t peace at all. I am begging you, rise up to help me. I beg you in the name of God, pity me. I have been very ashamed of myself; that was why I didn’t come out to let you people know what I have been going through.”
Jumoke George also revealed that her daughter, Ife, has fallen into debt of about N2million, because of her condition, explaining that she had taken multiple loans to fund her medical treatments.
Worse still, the actress lamented that she has lost contact with her first daughter, Deola, who turned 41 this month (May) “One day, she called me on the phone. She said, ‘Mummy, don’t bother asking where I am. I don’t even know what will become of my life. Somebody took me out on the promise that life would be better outside Nigeria. But now, I am somewhere outside Nigeria, going through a lot and not knowing what will become of my life.’”
