Nigerian actress Damilola Oni has spoken candidly about the challenges she faces as a public figure, revealing disturbing experiences with online harassment and sharing insights into her personal life and relationship expectations.
In a recent statement, Oni, who studied Linguistics at the University of Ibadan (UI), described the volume and nature of unsolicited messages she receives on social media.
According to her, direct messages often contain explicit content, including inappropriate images from male followers.
She further disclosed that some viewers openly admit to engaging in inappropriate behaviour after watching her performances on Africa Magic, noting that such comments are sometimes posted publicly in her comment sections.
The actress also addressed her relationship status, stating that she is currently single and has yet to find a suitable partner.
She outlined her expectations, emphasising the importance of faith, appearance, and personal grooming.
She added that she would not consider marrying an uneducated person, while also noting she is not open to a partner who is married or has a child.
Speaking about her social circle within the film industry, Oni remarked that she does not maintain close friendships in Nollywood, stressing that Nollywood members are her colleagues, not friends.
