At least 21 people have been reported killed while 28 others injured when gunmen attacked Kukum Daji Village of Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Sunday, July 19 2020.
President of the Community, Yashen Titus, in a phone call interview, told newsmen that the gunmen, suspected to be herdsmen, invaded the venue of a wedding party in the community at about 10 pm on Sunday night.
The suspected herdsmen opened fire on the people who attended the party, killing 19 people died on the spot while two others later died at the hospital.
Those who were injured were rushed to the Barau Dikko teaching hospital and other clinics in the state capital for treatment.
The Chairman, Caretaker Committee of Kaura Local Government, Bege Katuka at the mass burial of those who lost their lives during the attack said security operatives were working assiduously to ensure perpetrators of the evil act were brought to book.
