The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed as false a viral report alleging that it has fixed prices for expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The report, which circulated widely across media platforms on Friday, claimed that presidential aspirants would be required to pay ₦200 million for nomination forms, while candidates seeking seats in state assemblies would pay ₦20 million.
Reacting to the development, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, stated that the purported price list did not originate from the APC and should be disregarded.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Morka said the party had not taken any decision regarding the sale or pricing of nomination forms for the 2027 elections.
“The attention of the APC has been drawn to a false and misleading report circulating in sections of the media regarding a purported ‘price list’ for expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 General Elections. The report is fake and did not emanate from the party,” he said.
He further clarified that no official announcement had been made on the matter, describing the report as a fabrication intended to misinform the public.
The APC spokesman urged party members, media organisations, and the general public to ignore the claims, emphasising that any authentic information would be communicated through the party’s official channels.
